Materials:

•Less than one skein each of worsted weight yarn in contrasting colors

•Size G crochet hook

•Yarn needle

•2 buttons in the size(s), colors and shapes of your choice

•Poly-fil stuffing

•Small amount of small dry beans

•Pins with colorful heads

 

Abbreviations:

•SC = Single Crochet

•SC Dec = Single Crochet Decrease

•St = Stitch

 

Head

With main color

Round 1: 5 sc in magic ring. Pull tail to tighten ring.

Round 2: 2 sc in each st around.

Round 3: *1 sc in first st, 2 sc in next st.* Repeat from * to * around.

Round 4: *1 sc in each of the 1st 2 sts, 2 sc in the next st.* Repeat from * to * around.

Round 5: *1 sc in each of the 1st 3 sts, 2 sc in the next st.* Repeat from * to * around.

Round 6-9: sc in each st around.

Sew on button eyes then stuff firmly up to this point. Continue stuffing as you progress.

Round 10: *1 sc in each of the first 3 sts, sc dec over next 2 sts.* Repeat from * to * around.

Round 11: *1 sc in each of first 2 sts, sc dec over next 2 sts.* Repeat from * to * around.

Round 12: *1 sc in first st, sc sec over next 2 sts.* Repeat from * to * around.

Round 13: sc dec around.

Finish stitching closed with yarn needle. Fasten off, leave a long tail.

 

Body

With main color

Round 1: 10 sc in magic ring. Pull tail to tighten ring.

Round 2: 2 sc in each st around.

Round 3-9: sc in each st around.

Fill with dry beans about 3/4 of the way up. Add poly-fill.

Round 10&11: sc in each st around.

Round 12: sc dec around.

Finish stuffing if you haven't already. Finish closing off with yarn needle. Weave in ends.

(The end with the beans is the bottom)

 

Arms

Make 2 with main color.

Round 1: 4 sc in magic ring. Pull tail to tighten ring.

Round 2: 2 sc in each st around.

Round 3-8: sc in each st around.

Fasten off, leave tail to sew to body.

 

Legs 

Make 2

Round 1: with contrast color, 6 sc in magic ring. Pull tail to tighten ring.

Round 2: 2 sc in each st around.

Round 3&4: sc in each st around. Fasten off and join main color.

Round 5&6: sc in each st around.

Round 7: *sc in first st, ac dec over next 2 sts.* Repeat from * to * around.

Round 8-11: sc around.

Fasten off leaving a tail to stitch to body.

 

Stitch all pieces together, add pins and enjoy!
